Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the CatList mobile application ("CatList", the "App"), operated by Popworks ("Popworks", "we", "us", or "our"). By downloading, accessing, or using CatList, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

Using CatList

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, Popworks grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use CatList on devices you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use.

Your account

You may sign in with Google, Sign in with Apple, or use the App as a guest. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your sign-in credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You may delete your account at any time from Profile → Edit Profile → Delete Account within the App.

Your content

CatList lets you save "clips" — links, notes, photos, and other information you choose to add ("User Content"). You retain all ownership rights in your User Content. By submitting User Content, you grant Popworks a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display that content solely as necessary to operate and provide the App to you, including displaying it back to you and to anyone you deliberately share a clip with.

You are solely responsible for your User Content and for ensuring you have the right to save and share it. Some clips you save may link to or reference content originally posted by others on third-party platforms (for example, Instagram or Threads). CatList does not claim any ownership of that third-party content; it remains the property of its original creators and is subject to the terms of the platform it was posted on.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use CatList for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
• Save, share, or transmit content that is illegal, infringing, defamatory, or that violates the rights of others.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the App, or interfere with its security or normal operation.
• Use the App to access or attempt to access accounts, data, or systems that are not your own.

Sharing

CatList lets you generate a link to share an individual clip with someone else. Anyone with that link can view the clip's content. You are responsible for whom you share links with. There is no public feed, search, or discovery of other users' content within the App.

Third-party services

CatList relies on third-party services, including Google Firebase (authentication, crash reporting, analytics, push notifications) and Supabase (database and backend hosting), to operate. Your use of the App is also subject to those providers' own terms and privacy policies.

Disclaimer of warranties

CatList is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Popworks shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, CatList.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to CatList at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms. You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of CatList after a change means you accept the revised Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or CatList shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong.

Apple App Store terms

If you downloaded CatList from Apple's App Store, you acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Popworks only, not Apple, and Apple has no responsibility for the App or its content. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, will have the right to enforce them against you.
